Friday 18 July – BBC Tour & Drama Workshop

For the BBC Tour:

All visitors aged 18 or over must bring photo ID on the day to gain entry. Backpacks, travel cases, and shopping bags are NOT permitted inside the venue. Coats can be left in Central Square’s cloakroom, free of charge, for the duration of the visit.

• Breakfast: 09:15 – College

• Morning Activity – BBC Wales Tour:

  • Group A: Depart College 09:50 | Tour at 10:15

  • Group B: Depart College 10:30 | Tour at 11:00

    Group B will spend time in the A Level area on the 4th floor, with some activities provided by the Students’ Union and International team while Group A is on the BBC tour from 9:45am to 10:30am. When Group A returns to the college before lunch, they will also use this space from 11:45am to 12:30pm.

• Lunch: 12:30 – College Atrium

• Afternoon Session:

  • 13:30 – 17:00 – Drama Workshop (Theatre / Dance Studio)

• Dinner: 18:30 – Pizza Hut (Itzel to meet group at 17:00)

Saturday 19 July – Oxford Day Trip

• Departure: 08:00 – Coach to Oxford, first stop CAVC to collect lunch

• Breakfast & Lunch: Packed (Can eat breakfast on bus)

• Dinner: 19:30 – Honest Burger (Cardiff City Centre)

• Activity Staff: Alex, Younas

Sunday 20 July – Cardiff Bay Exploration

• Younas & Alex to meet group at 10am at Unite Accommodation - The Bakery

• Breakfast: At Holiday Inn at 10.30am

• Lunch: Packed lunch to be collected at the hotel after breakfast

• Afternoon Activity:

  • 12:00 – Walk to Cardiff Bay

  • 13:00 – 15:00 – Informal Walking Tour

  • 15:00 – Cardiff Bay Cruise

  • 16:00 – Return to accommodation

• Dinner: 18:30 – Frankie & Benny’s

• Activity Staff: Alex, Younas

Monday 21 July – Science & English

• Breakfast: 08:30 – College Atrium

• Morning Sessions:

  • Group A: Science with Dave Morris (Room 221)

  • Group B: Science with Josephine (Room 247)

  • 9am - 10.30am & 11am - 12.30pm (Groups swap after 30 minute break)

• Lunch: 12:30 – 13:30

• Afternoon Sessions:

  • Group A: Science with Carri (Room 204)

  • Group B: English with Tess (Room 310)

  • 13.30–15.00 & 15.30–17.00 (Swap after break)

• Finish: 17.00

• Dinner: 18:30 – Pizza Hut

Tuesday 22 July – Barry Island or Museum Visit

  • 13:30 – Coach to Barry Island (Watts Coaches)

  • 14:00 – 17:00 – Outdoor Sports at Barry OR

  • National Museum of Wales (booked – weather back-up)

• Dinner: 18:30 – JRC Global Buffet

Wednesday 23 July – Graduation Day

• Breakfast: 08:30 – College Atrium

  • 11:00 – Final Drama Performance (Theatre)

  • 14:00 – Buffet Reception

• Dinner: 18:30 – Honest Burger (City Centre)

  All International & English Academy Staff to attend performance & graduation.

Thursday 24 July – Free Day in Cardiff

• Breakfast: 08:30 – College Atrium

• Lunch: Packed (collected with breakfast)

• Free Time: Independent exploration of Cardiff

• Dinner: 18:30 - JRC Global Buffet

Friday 25 July – London Trip & Overnight Stay

• Coach Pickup: 07:30 – From the Bakery accommodation (stop at City Centre Campus)

• Breakfast & Lunch: Packed to be collected after pick up at accommodation.

• Arrival in London: Bags stored at Generator London

• Dinner: 19:00 – The Generator accommodation

• Check-In: 20:00

Saturday 26 July – Departure Day

• Breakfast & Lunch: Breakfast at the accommodation and packed lunch provided.

• Luggage: Stored at Generator

• Coach Departure: 16:00 – From Generator to Heathrow Terminal 4
